I think it has officially become a tradition now.
As you prepare the food for the big day’s festivities and regale the youngsters with tales from Thanksgivings past while you wait for family to arrive, what could you watch to fill the time?
Sure there’s Thanksgiving specials and the Macy’s Parade and football available.
But you’ll be shortchanging yourself and skipping an important — nay, vital — cultural lesson for the kiddos if you don’t take 25 minutes, sit back, hit “play” and share the brilliance of the “Turkey Drop” episode of “WKRP in Cincinnati.”
If you call yourself an American, you’ll make the time.
As always — you’re welcome.
